Shimazu Toyohisę poznajemy na XVI-wiecznym polu bitwy, gdzie zakrwawiony osłania taktyczny odwrót swego lorda. Zadanie wykonuje, jednak przypłaca to życiem… a przynajmniej powinien tak zrobić. Budzi się w dziwnym miejscu, gdzie ubrany współcześnie facet siedzący za biurkiem wyrzuca go za drzwi, które okazują się portalem do innego świata. Gromadzeni są tam tak zwani Drifterzy – znane historyczne postacie, takie jak np. sławny Oda Nobunaga. Toyohisę czeka tam wiele przygód, o ile wcześniej nie umrze od ran, przez nikogo jeszcze nie opatrzonych.
